In all honesty, I was completely out of of practice for packing for a vacation in the sun but I feel this time around, I felt pretty pleased with how it turned out! I think that’s down to this time around having more key pieces in my wardrobe now and also not packing too much. These plisse separates from Hush were perfect for evening wear and remained crease free all the way. As for the Fitflop F-Mode sandals… they went with everything!

I feel incredibly lucky to have a talented friend in Ashley - she of Lazy Daisy Jones blog fame and now, her new Instagram account - A Slow Calm Sew. The last time we were out and about and I bought some gingham material that she took home and then made into a dress for me as a birthday gift! It’s exactly my kind of thing - loose, airy, one of a kind and perfect for sundown. Thank you A - I’ll love it always!

There was no way I was going on a warm summer holiday without my faithful linen coord sets - I have this white one, a set in beige and one in black from ARKET - they are honestly that good! Having all three to mix and match, use as cover ups and wear with other pieces makes holiday packing an absolute cinch. Hands down, the best summer investments ever!

A couple of months before we went, I was gifted this dress by Baukjen and I literally couldn’t wait to pack it into my suitcase! The colour is perfect for warmer climates and sunny days and the wafting opportunities are endless. This was the morning we went into Pollenca and it was meltingly hot so I was grateful for a dress with zero cling. And you’ve probably noticed by now that I had the same bag and two pairs of sandals all holiday - chosen to work in all combos - not an accident!

I love any kind of poolside/beach coverup and yet, had never entertained the idea of a pair of beach trousers before… until I received these from Hush that is. Super soft and with an elasticated waist, they felt like the perfect floaty layer to wear post-swim. They also come in black too which would have complimented my swimsuit really well. Not that I did any of the going “from beach to bar” on this holiday, I still felt like these would be just the thing should I ever find myself in that scenario… [imagines an off-season trip to Ibiza sometime in the future]…

The Hush linen cargo pants you’ve seen before and they were a no-brainer to pack in the suitcase - though I did decide against wearing them on the plane - I always spill on myself on a plane. The minute I saw this twist-back top at COS, I knew it was for me - detail in the back? Check. A heavyweight fabric that drapes well? Check. A goto going out top I’d wear again and again? Check. Except I don’t go out that much… but when it does happen, I’m fully prepared!
